Job postings in Pocatello continue to be filled, with 200 employers hiring in the region

In September, there were 617 unique job postings for southeastern Idaho, with approximately 200 employers seeking workers, according to Conference Board data via Lightcast.

"Opportunities for job seekers are in a variety of industries including in transportation, vegetable manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, government support and more," Labor Economist Brandon Duong said. "Skills in power tool operation, bookkeeping and heavy equipment machinery are also in high demand."

Job seekers will be connected to many employment opportunities, at a hiring event, Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Idaho Department of Labor's Pocatello office.

The address is 430 N. 5th Ave.

Employers planning to attend include Amy's Kitchen, LA Semiconductor, Shoshone-Bannock Casino and Hotel, Bannock County, Bingham County, Premier Technology, City of Pocatello, Lamb Weston, Phoenix Management, Western CAT States and more.

Various positions will be available including bus drivers, manufacturing technicians, mechanics, shift leaders, warehouse workers, behavioral intervention staff, sheriff deputies, administrative assistants and many more.
