In Lebanon, the healthcare system is in a state of emergency, grappling with relentless Israeli attacks and severe resource shortages as violence continues. Hisham Fawaz, Head of Hospitals and Dispensaries at Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health, describes a dire situation: hospitals and ambulances have been targeted, over 100 healthcare workers killed, and dozens of medical facilities damaged or destroyed. The crisis is exacerbated by mass displacement, with a quarter of the population uprooted and in desperate need of assistance. There is an urgent need for critical supplies like dialysis equipment, cancer medications, and trauma kits, and immediate aid to stabilize Lebanon's struggling health sector.
