2024 Mosquito Spraying Schedule

The City sprays for mosquitos as part of our responsibility to help control vector borne illnesses such as the Zika Virus and West Nile Disease. Spraying occurs between the hours of 10 PM and 6 AM, when mosquitos are most active and pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, are not in order to reduce the effects on those pollinators, Residents who have respiratory issues and those who keep bees can sign-up to receive alerts during our annual spraying activities by signing up for Notify Me on the City's website.

The City sprays one or two weeks per year, based on citizen complaints and observed mosquito populations. Weather and/or other circumstances may delay or halt our operations but we will always pick-up where we left off the night before. Residents with respiratory issues are urged to keep their windows closed overnight and beekeepers are urged to cover and restrict entrances to hives they maintain.
