Covered California Open Enrollment Began November 1

Covered California will be taking applications for 2025 health care coverage during the Open Enrollment period from November 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025. Open enrollment is the time of year when everyone can apply for a plan through Covered California. Outside open enrollment, people who experience qualifying life events can apply during special enrollment.

Medi-Cal and Covered California use the same application. Medi-Cal offers free health coverage for California residents who meet eligibility requirements. Covered California offers financial assistance in the form of subsidies to help pay for your health insurance. After you enter your information on www.CoveredCA.com you will find out whether you qualify for Medi-Cal or financial assistance with Covered California.
