Faculty of Color Invited to Off-campus Writing Retreat on Sept. 6

UMass Amherst faculty of color are invited to convene for a day-long writing retreat Friday, Sept. 6, from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the East and West Room of the Hitchcock Center for the Environment at 845 West Street in Amherst.<_o3a_p>

Hosted by the Faculty Diversity Team of the Office of the Provost, the Fall 2024 Third Spaces Writing Retreat will provide an opportunity for attendees to foster a sense of community, focus on writing objectives, enhance their writing skills, exchange ideas with peers and receive constructive feedback in a supportive setting. Attendees will also be able to connect with the Third Spaces facilitators and writing coach Cathy Luna, who will have a sign-up sheet available for individual consultation throughout the semester.<_o3a_p>

Complimentary breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea and snacks will be provided throughout the day.<_o3a_p>

Pre-registration is required for the retreat and must be completed by Tuesday, Aug. 27.<_o3a_p>
