Special Edition Election Wrap-Up

November 10, 2024

Congressman Gosar: Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who turned out and made their voices heard by voting this past Tuesday. I am honored to have earned another term representing Arizona's ninth congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. With 82% of the vote in at the time of this newsletter, I'm particularly proud to have earned over the support of over 212,000 voters and have one of the highest margins of victory of the entire Arizona delegation, regardless of political party.

On a side note, it is astonishing to me that many large states, including Florida and New York, release their results of the elections on the same day, yet here in Arizona, election day has become "election week,"as several races are still being counted. This is not normal despite the Fake News and many on the Left trying to convince the electorate that it is. I could use the remainder of this newsletter arguing that it should NOT take days or weeks to count all legal votes cast in an election, but I won't waste your time. Let me just say that it should only take one day.

So here we are, five days after the election and we really are not sure what the make-up of the United States Congress will be. Dozens of congressional races remain too close to call, including several in Arizona. I do believe the Republicans will retain the House of Representatives by a narrow majority as Ifeel like the trend is in our favor. Honestly, I believe a slim majority is a better working majority. Why? Because it restores power to the individual members of Congress. Not the Speaker, not the Majority or Minority Leader and not the Committee Chairs. The strength of the House of Representative is with the individual Members, not those in leadership who are not accountable to the people they were elected to represent. Maybe by next week's newsletter the remaining races will be decided, if so, I will provide an update.

Rest assured I will continue to return to Arizona every week and I will always be available to help with issues, talk, and work for all Arizonans. Once again, thank you so much for your unwavering support!

Trump Wins in a Landslide!

In a stunning rebuke of the radical left agenda, President Trump was easily re-elected as the 47thPresident of the United States, completing arguably the greatest political comeback of all time. At the time of the publishing of this newsletter, President Trump has won 301 electoral college votes and won the popular vote - the first time a Republican president to do so since 2004. When all the votes are counted, President Trump will likely secure 312 electoral votes.

President Trump won by expanding and building a broad coalition of supporters including those who were sick and tired of not being able to afford basic goods and services and were fed up with being called horrific names by Democrats, including garbage, nazis, Hitler, fascists and white supremacists.

Republicans Also Flip the Senate!

Also on election night, Republicans in the United States Senate flipped several seats and now have a significant majority in the upper chamber. If Republicans retain control of the House, as I think we will, and with this new majority in the Senate, President Trump will have a working majority in Washington, D.C. to clear his Senate-confirmed appointees, appoint conservative judges and advance his conservative, America First agenda.

Prop 312 Passes in Arizona

One of the most notable propositions in Arizona that passed was Prop 312. This new law gives property owners the right to recover damages to their property caused by vandals and homeless people that the Democrats in Phoenix allowed to wreak havoc for years.

The Democrat leadership in Phoenix burdened taxpayers and business with crime, vandalism and lowered values due to their unwillingness to enforce the laws. Democrats created a large homeless camp called "the Zone" that enabled violence, shootings, prostitution, litter and trash, drug sales and vandalism. City leaders instructed police officers to take no action, resulting in an area that has now become one of the nation's largest homeless encampments. Arizona taxpayers have had enough, and they want to see their government be held accountable.

Now, under Prop 312, property owners can request a refund for the costs they incur in cleaning up the mess created by Democrats. This is what justice looks like, but it never should have been necessary.
