Goodwill Donation Drives Promote Sustainability and Support Employment Programs

May 9, 2024

During April Earth Month, Goodwill held two donation drives at American Family Field™ in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and outside the Goodwill Outlet in Romeoville, Illinois offering the community a sustainable way to give items a second life and give back.

Commitment To Sustainability

For more than 100 years, Goodwill has contributed to a circular economy. Donations are sold at Goodwill Store & Donation Centers, outlets and online to be purchased secondhand, reducing waste and increasing the opportunity to keep items in use through reuse, repair, upcycle, and repurpose

With the help of shoppers and donors, Goodwill keeps millions of pounds of clothing and household items out of the landfill each year.

Turning Donations Into Opportunity

Donating and shopping at Goodwill supports programs and services that assist people in navigating employment challenges, preparing for the workplace, and accessing job opportunities. In 2023, Goodwill supported more than 50,000 people across Wisconsin and Illinois through employment, programs and services.
