Update:

On July 12, 2024, subsequent to further investigation, State Police members identified the unknown vehicle in the hit-and-run accident as a white 2012 GMC Sierra. The State Police are actively investigating this incident.

The victim is still listed in critical condition at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

This is an ongoing investigation.

On July 11, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., State Police members responded to a car versus pedestrian accident on State Route 22B in the village of Morrisonville. A preliminary investigation determined an unknown vehicle was traveling on State Route 22B in the village of Morrisville when the operator of a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. The victim was located on the south shoulder of State Route 22B and sustained life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to CVPH and later transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center, listed in critical condition.

State Police and Clinton County Sheriff's Department are actively investigating this incident. The State Police are asking for the public's assistance regarding this incident. If anyone knows the vehicle involved or has any information regarding the accident, is asked to contact the State Police at 518- 873-2777.
