Meet the Team: Erin Thompson

Erin Thompson serves as the Multimedia and Graphic Design Specialist for Clemson University's College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). With a background in graphic design and marketing, Thompson is responsible for leading design projects, website development, social media strategy, and contributing to overall content development. She says she jumped at this unique opportunity.

"When I learned about the development of a brand-new college at Clemson, I knew it was a rare and exciting opportunity that I was eager to be a part of," said Thompson. "The establishment of a College of Veterinary Medicine in South Carolina is a huge deal for Clemson and the state!"

Thompson received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing from Mississippi State University. She is currently furthering her education by pursuing an MBA in Digital Brand Communications at Clemson University. Her new position will allow her to directly apply what she's learning in school to the CVM.

"I am looking forward to applying my graphic design skills and growing branding and marketing expertise I'm gaining through my MBA in a real-life setting. The opportunity to essentially develop a new brand is so exciting for me as a creative."

Thompson hopes to be an asset to the CVM's brand development. CVM is part of the Clemson family, but Thompson's goal is to craft a recognizable and unique brand for the CVM. Beyond her creative skills, she's excited for the other opportunities for growth that this role offers.

"As a people-person and problem solver, I aspire to contribute to the CVM team in ways beyond graphic design and marketing. I am excited to work among this group of driven, talented individuals to ensure the success of the college."

When Thompson isn't working, she enjoys taking photos with friends, designing graphics for fun, and attending concerts (Harry Styles and Taylor Swift have been her favorites).
