Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman Meets with Guyana’s Senior Minister for Finance Ashni Singha

Today, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman met with Guyana's Senior Minister for Finance Ashni Singh. Following on the Deputy Administrator's July 11 meeting with Guyana's President Irfaan Ali, the two discussed the longstanding and consequential partnership between the United States and Guyana, and opportunities to bolster this collaboration to help Guyana achieve its ambitions for inclusive economic growth and strong democratic governance. The Deputy Administrator noted USAID's commitment to seek opportunities to unlock access to capital for small- and medium-sized enterprises. Deputy Administrator Coleman and Minister Singh also discussed the importance of fiscal transparency and a strong legal and regulatory framework to create the enabling environment for investment and economic opportunity.
