On September 2, 2024, State Police of Greenwich arrested Ashley J. Brown, 36, of Fair Haven, VT, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, and a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation.

Jake F. Desjadon, 37, of Fair Haven, VT, was arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, and False Personation.

On September 2, 2024, at about 1:50 a.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on Broadway in Fort Edward, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Brown, and a passenger was identified as Desjadon. Desjadon initially provided false identifying information. Further investigation discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Vermont State Police on September 1, 2024. Both Brown and Desjadon were taken into custody. Controlled substances and glass smoking devices containing drug residue were also located in the vehicle, all of which were seized.

Both were transported to SP Greenwich for processing. Both were then arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court. Brown was released on her own recognizance. Desjadon was remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility without bail.
