Date of by-election in Shirley Ward announced

Following the resignation of Councillor Satvir Kaur

Following the resignation of Councillor Satvir Kaur, Southampton City Council has published a Notice of Election for the Shirley ward. The by-election will take place on Thursday 10 October 2024. Following the election, the successful candidate will serve the remaining term created by the vacancy until May 2027.

Voting will only take place in the Shirley Ward

Registered electors in the Shirley Ward will receive poll cards with further details soon.

Eligible electors in the Shirley ward who are not already registered to vote must do so before midnight on Tuesday 24 September 2024, in order to take part in this by-election.
