NSU Percussion Ensemble visits four high schools on recruiting trip

NATCHITOCHES - The NSU Percussion Ensemble completed their fall annual recruiting tour last week. The group performed at four high schools in the Texarkana area including Redwater, Pleasant Grove, Texas High and Atlanta. They ended the tour with a performance at Southern Arkansas University. The group performed three chamber pieces from their fall percussion ensemble concert and ended each session with the students sharing their thoughts and insights on college, music and life after high school.

Percussion ensemble members Mason Windham from Redwater and Caedmon Larson from Atlanta were able to visit their high school alma maters and perform there again. Other ensemble members included Hunter Brown of Raceland, Quincy Beasley of Pineville, Garrett Moss of Ruston, Wyatt Paulk of Deville, Peyton Johnson of Effie, Charles Heard and Devin Naqvi of Zachary, Caleb Daniels of Shreveport, Harmony Marsh of Bogota, Texas, Kirk Ybañez of Sabine, Texas, and Walker Libbe of Corpus Christi, Texas. The NSU Percussion Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Oliver Molina.
