WGA Congratulates IATSE Members on Ratifying a New Contract

New York and Los Angeles - Writers Guild of America East (WGAE) and Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) issued the following statement:

"Congratulations to IATSE members who recently ratified their 2024 Hollywood Basic and Area Standards Agreements.

We urge the studios to bargain in good faith with the Teamsters and Hollywood Basic Crafts as they approach their contract deadline on July 31. All workers deserve to be fairly compensated for the value their work creates."

The Writers Guild of America East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) are labor unions of writers working in motion pictures, television, cable, digital media and broadcast news. The Guilds negotiate and administer contracts that protect the creative and economic rights of their members; conduct programs, seminars and events on issues of interest to writers; and present writers' views to various bodies of government.
