Troopers conduct Underage Drinking Initiative

On July 3, 2024, the New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in Chenango and Otsego Counties.

During the initiative, ten businesses were checked for compliance. All ten were found in compliance and did not sell any alcohol to the underage operative.

Chenango County

• Byrne Dairy, East Main St, Norwich, NY
• Denny's Wines & Liquors, Mitchell St, Norwich, NY
• Stewart's Shop, North Canal St, Oxford, NY
• Mirabito, North Canal St, Oxford, NY
• Ye Olde Shanty, South Canal St, Oxford, NY
• Greene Spirits Liquor Store, Matteson St, Greene, NY
• Mirabito, Genesee St, Greene, NY
• Sunoco/USA Mini Mart, State Highway 12, Greene, NY
• Smithville General Store, State Highway 41, Smithville Flats, NY

Otsego County

• Mirabito, South Broad St, Morris, NY

During these investigations, businesses are checked utilizing a Trooper in plain clothes and one or several underage operatives who cannot lie about their age or provide a false date of birth.
