Royals Receive NAIA Champions of Character Five Star Institution Award for 2023 2024

Each year, NAIA schools use the Champions of Character core report to measure the pursuit of character-driven athletics. The HIU Royals scored among the top schools and have been honored with the NAIA Champions of Character® Five-Star Institution Award for 2023-2024, earning a Gold Medallion.

Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.

209 member institutions were named Champions of Character® Five-Star Award winners for 2023-24.
