With summer winding down and fall just around the corner, now is the perfect time to enjoy some of the many outdoor activities and events planned throughout September. Be sure to check out our full calendar of events at the end of this newsletter.
Last month's close call with Hurricane Debby is an important reminder that the peak of hurricane season is upon us. I encourage everyone to make sure you have an emergency supply kit prepared and review our safety and preparedness information provided by Orange County's Office of Emergency Management.
Now is also the perfect time to taste the unique flavors of our community during Visit Orlando's Magical Dining. Many award-winning restaurants and world-renowned chefs call Orange County home, and this annual event provides an opportunity to experience our growing culinary scene through special fixed-price menus.
September 15 is the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, so join us as we celebrate the diverse cultures that make our community such a vibrant place to live. This year, the Gallery MCO at the Orlando International Airport will host our annual art exhibition, featuring local artists displaying their work. Additionally, a second art exhibition will be showcased inside the Orange County Administration Building lobby.
