STATEMENT ON THE ROAD AHEAD

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - This week, Donald J. Trump won the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, securing a second term in the White House.

In response, Power to Decide CEO and practicing OB-GYN, Dr. Raegan McDonald-Mosley, released the following statement:

"As an OB-GYN, I've seen firsthand the devastating impacts that abortion bans and attacks on contraception have had on my patients, their families and communities. The second Trump administration may pose grave threats to an already dire landscape of sexual and reproductive health care across the country.

"We understand the fear, confusion and uncertainty many are feeling around accessing sexual and reproductive health care. At Power to Decide, we remain committed to ensuring that everyone has the information and resources they need to access the care they so rightfully deserve through AbortionFinder.org and Bedsider.org.

"Our AbortionFinder resource connects people with verified, trusted abortion providers and support services. Within 24 hours of election day, AbortionFinder.org saw over 45,000 visits and nearly 5,000 clinic searches, which reflect a 320% and 130% increase in average daily visits and searches respectively. AbortionFinder.org will stay up to date as state policies and access to abortion services shift across the country.

"The increase of mis-and dis-information surrounding birth control online creates a confusing environment for individuals to access medically-accurate contraceptive information. Our Bedsider resource can help individuals learn about their birth control options and find a clinic or birth control delivery service nearest them.

"Now more than ever people want and need trustworthy resources about abortion and contraceptive care. Challenges are ahead and the sexual and reproductive landscape will change, but we will continue to be a resource for you and your reproductive well-being."
