September at WPI is filled with the excitement of new beginnings, familiar faces, and the promise of what's to come in a new academic year. Whether enjoying the fun of Family Weekend, taking in exciting athletic matches, or checking out an interesting panel or talk, the month always offers a fresh perspective. Take a peek behind the lenses of our staff photographers to see what we were up to.

The Class of 2022 understood the assignment. The group's class gift of a hammock space behind the Rubin Campus Center offers hammocks and a picnic table to connect with others or catch up on some R&R.

Family Weekendbrought hundreds of loved ones from near and far who arrived on campus ready for exceptional concerts, fun games, getting acquainted with the welcoming campus community, and-most important-time to relax and catch up with their goats.

A Higgins House audience enjoyed the gentle notes and innovative thoughts of harpist Emily Hopkinswho shared her musical talents and made connections between harps, effect pedals, video game music, and more.

Where in the world will students go next year? This year's Global Fair offered students a glimpse of what they can accomplish at one of WPI's 50+ project centers.

WPI was the first university stop on GE Aerospace's tour showcasing the LEAP-1B engine for the Boeing 737 MAX family. GE team members (all of whom are WPI alumni), including WPI Board Chair Bill Fitzgerald, a retired GE executive, visited with President Grace Wang and members of the Heebner Career Development Center.

WPI students' bold ideas were on full display at the WPI i³Lab Demo Daya celebration of student innovation and entrepreneurship. Whether joining the pitch competition for a slice of the $48,000 prize pool, encouraging their peers, or just absorbing the energy, students showed what WPI is about.

With resumes and elevator pitches at the ready, students explored opportunities at the Heebner Career Development Center's Fall Career Fair held at the Sports & Rec Center. Hundreds of employers, many of them WPI alums, talked with students during this popular event.

From a panel on AI and civil rights to celebrations of the 20th year of Interactive & Media Game Development and the 50th year of Social Sciences and Policy Studies at WPI, Fall 2024 Arts & Sciences Weekhad much to celebrate.
