Political Science hosting Constitution Day panel, Sept. 17

The Department of Political Science will host a panel titled "Trump v. U.S. and the Future of Presidential Immunity" as part of Constitution Day on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Engineering Hall 198.

This panel, featuring faculty from the Department of Political Science and Marquette University Law School, will explore the implications of the U.S. Supreme Court's recent decision on presidential immunity from criminal prosecution.

No RSVP is required.

The panel includes:

• Prof. Christine Chabot, associate professor in the Marquette University Law School
• Dr. Paul Nolette, director of the Les Aspin Center for Government
• Dr. Pat Sobkowski, adjunct assistant professor of political science in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences

Constitution Day observes the formation of the U.S. Constitution and its signing on Sept. 17, 1787. Across the U.S., Constitution Day events celebrate the importance of the Constitution and encourage reflection on ongoing constitutional debates.
