Stormwater Improvements Planned on State Highways in Bucks, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that stormwater improvements are planned on state highways in Bucks and Montgomery counties under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 213 (Maple Avenue/Old Lincoln Highway) between Wheeler Way and Woodbourne Road in Middletown Township, Bucks County, for paving operations.
• Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Valley Creek Road) between Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) and Yellow Springs Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, for stormwater replacement.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
