Franklin Street water outage and road closure planned

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Gas & Water has planned a water outage and road closure on Friday, Aug. 2, at 8 a.m. on a section of Franklin Street from Cedar Street to Hornberger Lane for water valve work.

Franklin Street traffic will be detoured to Hornberger Lane, Main Street and Cedar Street and E. College Street traffic should use N. 11th Street to access Franklin Street. Motorists may wish to choose an alternate travel route to avoid traffic congestion around the work zone.

Utility construction crews expect the water valve work to be finished, water service restored and the road reopened by approximately 2 p.m.
