Transform your career with the AGA Future Leaders Program

The AGA Future Leaders Program is accepting applications for its next cohort. Now entering its 10th year, the prestigious 18-month program continues cultivating the next generation of leaders in gastroenterology. With a unique blend of virtual and in-person meetings, participants can successfully engage in leadership training, executive coaching, networking and mentorship from prominent leaders.

Applications close on Nov. 4.

Future Leader alumni continue to praise the program for its transformative impact on their careers.

Drs. Parakkal Deepak and Edward L. Barnes took to The New Gastroenterologist to reflect on the invaluable mentorship from Dr. Aasma Shaukat, saying, "We had access to the highly accomplished mentors from diverse settings and learned models of leadership, while developing skills to foster our own leadership style."

Dr. Jennifer Weiss, class of 2017-2018, confirms the program delivers on its promises of networking, mentorship, and leadership skill development while sharing her lessons learned from the program.

The AGA Future Leaders Program is highly recommended for early career gastroenterologists, with over 90% of its alumni going on to serve in AGA leadership roles, underscoring the program's effectiveness in shaping future leaders.
