Lightener and Carpentari Set School Records at Seahawk Shootout

Freshmen and set school records at the Seahawk Shootout on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Complex.

Lightener broke a program record for the second consecutive meet, posting a college-best triple jump of 11.74m to finish third. Carpentari set the school record for the 600-meter, running a personal-best time of 1:21.31 to also finish third.

The Highlanders continued their momentum from the season opener, recording 12 personal-bests and nine top-five marks in school history.

achieved a personal-best 600-meter time of 1:22.36, which ranks fourth in program history. recorded a personal-best 600-meter time of 1:23.18, which is the fifth-best in school history.

posted a personal-best 600-meter time of 1:38.53 for the second straight meet. Her time is the third-best in program history.

(40.90) and (40.92) clocked personal-best 300-meter times for the second consecutive meet, ranking second and third in school history, respectively.
