We are the Asian Student Organization, an interprofessional Asian student organization at UTHSC. Our mission is centered on promoting cultural awareness, fostering a supporting community, and advocating for the interests of students of Asian heritage. We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone can celebrate their cultural heritage and identity. By organizing events such as multicultural festivals, educational speaker lunches, and social activities, ASO provides opportunities for students to connect, learn, and share their traditions. Additionally, ASO is dedicated to supporting everyone academically, socially, and emotionally via resources and networking opportunities. Through advocacy and outreach initiatives, our organization strives to address and raise awareness about issues affecting the Asian communities, both on campus and beyond. Ultimately, we seek to empower every individual, promote diversity and inclusion, and contribute positively to the broader community.
