Palmdale’s General Municipal Election Takes Place on November 5, 2024

Nomination Period Opens for District 1 and District 2 Seats

PALMDALE, CA - The City of Palmdale's General Municipal Election, consolidated with the Los Angeles County Statewide General Election, will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Registered voters residing in District 1 and District 2 will have the opportunity to elect a City Councilmember for their respective district for a four-year term. To view the boundaries of each district, please refer to the District Map on the City of Palmdale's Elections webpage at www.CityOfPalmdaleCA.gov/CityElections.

The nomination period for these offices open on Monday, July 15, and close on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Interested persons who live in District 1 or District 2 can view candidate forms at www.CityOfPalmdaleCA.gov/CityElections. The incumbents are Austin Bishop, District 1 and Richard J. Loa, District 2.

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder will begin mailing Vote by Mail Ballots on October 7, 2024. The last day to register to vote in the November 5 election is October 21, 2024. Vote Centers and 24-hour Vote by Mail Drop Boxes will be available.
