Stanislaus County

Closures On State Routes 99, 132, And Interstate 5

Stanislaus County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various ramp and lane closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 132 (SR-132), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

  • Closure of the #1 (left) lane of northbound and southbound SR-99 from Woodland Avenue to Briggsmore Avenue in Modesto for highway repair on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
  • Closure of the #1 (left) lane of southbound SR-99 from Tuolumne Boulevard to Ninth Street in Modesto for bridge work on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
  • Closure of the #1 (left) lane of northbound SR-99 from Hatch Road to Tuolumne Boulevard in Modesto for shoulder work on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

State Route 132

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control between La Grange Dam Road and Quartz Ledge Creek bridge for bridge work beginning Sunday, November 17 through Friday, November 22, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

Interstate 5

  • Full, long-term closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
    Note: This project is expected to continue through the fall of 2025.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
