"All Angelenos, no matter their age, income, identity or ability deserve to have the opportunity to live in a safe and stable place they can call home," said Mayor Karen Bass."This permanent and supportive housing will bring this vision into reality by providing quality and affordable housing for unhoused Angelenos during a time when they need it the most. I am proud to partner with the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority and PATH to give unhoused Angelenos the chance to live independently with access to the supportive services they need."

"Our goal is to reduce unsheltered homelessness by getting people off the street and into interim housing . Then we must make sure they find a permanent home as efficiently as possible and that's what we did today," said Dr. Va Lecia Adams Kellum, CEO of LAHSA. "LAHSA thanks the Mayor for her continued partnership through Inside Safe and is looking forward to celebrating more Inside Safe participants coming home in the near future."

"Bringing unhoused individuals indoors is a vital first step but connecting them to stable housing is what truly ends their homelessness," said Sasha Morozov, PATH Los Angeles Regional Director. "Thanks to the partnership between LAHSA, Mayor Bass, and our teams at PATH, we have been able to move individuals into the Grand Ave affordable housing community directly from our Inside Safe sites. PATH will continue to provide onsite supportive services they need to thrive now that they have made it home."

Many of the new residents who moved into permanent housing today were previously living in longstanding street encampments near Koreatown and Hollywood. The participants now live in permanent affordable housing with onsite supportive services.

In collaboration with PATH, LAHSA, the County and other partners, the Mayor's Office will also be offering onsite Jobs Connectors through its Office of Economic Opportunity to help connect residents to employment opportunities and careers services.
