TRAFFIC ALERT New Castle County I 95/Rt 896 Interchange

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces overnight multi-lane closure on southbound I-95 on Wednesday September 4 for a bridge deck pour. Southbound I-95 toll plaza cash lanes will be closed overnight. There will be overnight lane closures on northbound and southbound SR 896 for concrete pavement construction and bridge work. There will be overnight lane closures on SR 72 for bridge work. Additionally, there will be daytime lane closures on northbound I-95 for truck access.

I-95 AND RAMP IMPACTS

· Tuesday, September 3rd through Thursday, September 5th: Daytime Lane Closure, Northbound I-95 from the Route 896 Interchange to the Welcome Center (9AM - 6PM)

· Wednesday, September 4th: Overnight multi-lane closure, Southbound I-95 from the Welcome Center to the Toll Plaza (8 PM - 7AM). Toll Plaza Cash Lanes Closed.

Route 896 IMPACTS

· Tuesday, September 3rd & Thursday, September 5th: Overnight Lane Closure, Northbound Route 896 from the Old Baltimore Pike to the I-95 Interchange (8 PM - 6 AM)

· Tuesday, September 3rd through Friday, September 6th: Overnight Shoulder Closure/ Lane Shifts, Northbound and Southbound Route 896 from the Northbound I-95 on ramp to the I-95 Overpass (10 PM - 6 AM)

Route 72 IMPACTS

· Tuesday, September 3rd through Friday, September 6th: Overnight Lane Closure, Northbound and Southbound Route 72 between Scottfield Drive and Peoples Drive. (7PM - 7AM)
