Recruitment Open - Community Police Oversight Board

The CPOB provides recommendations to the Chief of Police, Mayor, City Council, and City Manager on the la Mesa Police Department procedures and policies and on matters of public safety within the City. We are currently accepting applications for six (6) positions on the Board:

• Helix Charter High School
• La Mesa Older Adult (62+ years old)
• La Mesa Younger Adult (18-30 years old)
• La Mesa Citizen from the La Mesa Business Community
• La Mesa Citizen from the La Mesa Faith Based Community
• A Citizen from Police Beat 3 (beat information can be found on the application)

Applications are due by 5:30 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
