King of Prussia, PA- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that paving is scheduled on Aramingo Avenue/Harbison Avenue as part of a project to repair and resurface 10 state roadways in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under the pavement improvement project, PennDOT will mill and resurface 43 miles of state highways in Philadelphia using bituminous material. The new pavements will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
