His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, The Board Chairman of AAAID Visits Morocco to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, The Board Chairman of AAAID, accompanied by a delegation of specialists from AAAID, conducted a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from July 1 to 4, 2024. The visit aimed to introduce AAAID and its investment activities in Arab countries in general and in Morocco in particular, as well as to explore future cooperation opportunities to enter into investment partnerships to increase the Authority's investments in Morocco, given its favorable business environment.
During the visit, H.E. and the accompanying delegation met with Mr. Redouan Arrach, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests. They discussed strengthening the relations between the two parties and exploring potential investment opportunities. The delegation also learned about Morocco's Green Mountain Strategy, which focuses on sustainable agricultural development, and the Ministry of Agriculture's project aimed at developing and empowering the capabilities of one million families.
Additionally, H.E. met with Mr. Abdellatif Jouahri, Governor of Bank Al-Maghrib. During the meeting, they introduced AAAID and its activities and investments in Morocco, and discussed AAAID's plans to enhance its investments in Arab countries.
The visit also included meetings with several financial institutions and funds that share common interests and play a role in supporting the agricultural sector and small-scall farmers and producers. He met with Mr. Salaheddine Kamali CEO of CDG Invest, Mr. Mohamed Fikrat CEO of Agricultural Credit Group of Morocco, Mr. Youssef Bencheqroun General Manager of Al Amana Microfinance, and Mrs. Salma Belamine Executive Director of the Mohammed VI Fund for Investment.
Additionally, the visit included meetings with agricultural companies to explore future cooperation opportunities. These meetings included Mr. Amine Elouali General Manager of FRESHCUT, Mr. Benani Anas General Manager of Baltemar, and Mr. Adel Hajjoubi General Manager of Chal Consulting and Investments.

H.E. Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi also reviewed the status and future plans of the affiliated companies in which AAAID has investments in Morocco. He met with Mr. El Hadi Chamaou General Manager of Orbis Holding, where H.E. and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the latest developments in the company's agricultural projects. These included the Orbis Green Olive project for the production of olives and virgin olive oil, and the Orbis Berries project for the production and packaging of berries and citrus fruits. H.E. praised the company's role in enhancing the agricultural sector and developing local production in Morocco. Additionally, H.E. met with Mr. Youssef Belkoura, General Manager of Domaine Youssef, to learn about the company's activities and its role in enhancing and developing local production in Morocco.
As part of introducing AAAID and its activities in Arab countries, H.E. Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, The Board Chairman of AAAID, met with H.E. Al Asri Said Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the UAE to Morocco, and H.E. Abdul Latif Al Yahya, Ambassador of Kuwait to Morocco.
