Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9400 Homestead Road

September 27, 2024- Houston police have learned a juvenile male critically injured in a crash at 9400 Homestead Road about 6:55 p.m. on September 24 has died.

The identity of the deceased male, believed to be 13, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensics Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Wu and Officer C. Vargas reported:

A Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was traveling northbound at the above address when the vehicle struck the male pedestrian who was in a moving lane of traffic. Paramedics transported the male to an area hospital. Doctors pronounced him deceased on Thursday (Sept. 26).

The male driver, 53, of the Dodge remained at the scene and was determined not to be impaired. He was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
