LOCATION: PROVIDENCE

At 2:30 PM, members from the Special Victims Unit, Major Crimes Unit and Trooper Munoz, arrested Aaron Reed, age 36 of 62 Joslin Street, Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty, 2) Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, 3) Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, and 4) Sexual Assault - Third Degree. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Special Victims Unit and Mr. Reed subsequently being located by detectives of the Special Victims Unit and Major Crimes Unit. Mr. Reed was arraigned at Rhode Island State Headquarters and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution-Men's Intake.
