Join us in congratulating and cheering for these athletes from the Silver State and here in Las Vegas as they compete at the summer games in Paris.
Faith Dillon
Taekwondo
Dillon is representing Team USA in her first Olympics. She will be competing in the women's 57kg event.
Katie Grimes
Women's Swimming
Grimes became the first Team USA Olympian to qualify by name for the Paris games. She swims with the Sandpipers club team, which utilizes city of Las Vegas pools.
Alexis Lagan
Pistol Shooting
Lagan is the first Olympian from Boulder City and is competing in the air pistol event.
Beiwen Zhang
Badminton
Zhang is currently ranked 10th in the world for women's singles. She will be competing in the women's singles event.
Luke Hobson
Men's Swimming
A former Reno High swimmer, Hobson won the men's 200-meter freestyle at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials. He will also be on the men's 4-x-200 relay team.
Perris Benegas
Cycling
Perris is returning for her second Olympics Games after finishing 4th in the 2020 Olympics. She will be competing in the Women's BMX Freestyle event.
Stephanie Rovetti
Rugby
Rovetti will represent Team USA in her first Olympics on the Women's Rugby team.
A'ja Wilson
Women's Basketball
A 6-4 forward, A'ja Wilson was drafted by the Aces with the #1 overall pick in the first round of the 2018 WNBA Draft. She was named the WNBA Rookie of the Year, and was the league MVP in 2020 and 2022. She was also named the 2023 WNBA Finals MVP, and led the Aces to the 2022 and 2023 WNBA championships. She played in college at South Carolina, where she was named National Player of the Year in her senior season. This season she is averaging 28.3 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per game. She will play on Team USA's women's basketball team. She previously won the gold at the 2020 Olympics
Chelsea Gray
Women's Basketball
Chelsea is a 5' 11" guard who signed with the Las Vegas Aces on Feb. 2, 2021.She was drafted by the Connecticut Sun in 2014 after playing her college ball at Duke. She won a WNBA championship in 2016 as a member of the Los Angeles Sparks, before winning back-to-back titles with the Aces in 2022 and 2023. She was the 2022 WNBA Finals MVP. She will play on Team USA's women's basketball team, and won the gold at the 2020 Olympics.
Kelsey Plum
Women's Basketball
Plum is a 5'8 guard who helped the US Women's team win the gold medal at the 2018 and 2020 FIBA World Cup. She played her college ball at Washington University, and was a member of the WNBA All-Rookie Team in 2017 after being drafted #1 overall by the San Antonio Stars. She is averaging 18.7 points and 4.8 assists per game this season. She won back-to-back WNBA titles with the Aces in 2022 & 2023. She will play on Team USA's women's basketball team, and previously won gold in the 3 on 3 basketball competition at the 2020 Olympics.
Jackie Young
Women's Basketball
Young is a 6' guard for the Las Vegas Aces, and won back-to-back WNBA championships in 2022 & 2023. She was drafted #1 overall by the Aces in 2019. So far this season she is averaging 16.9 points and 6.7 assists per game. She brought home the gold in the 3 on 3 basketball tournament at the 2020 Olympics. She will play on Team USA's women's basketball team.
