Amplify 2024 Conference Highlights

Workiva Amplify 2024 is another one for the books! We took the Mile High City by storm and set the record for the most in-person attendees in Amplify history, with thousands of passionate accounting, finance, ESG, audit, and risk professionals joining together for 3 days packed with best practices, thought-provoking sessions, networking, innovation reveals, career upskilling, and cutting loose!

Amplify 2024: Ready for anything

From Workiva CEO Julie Iskow's powerful talk on the challenges we're all facing, to hearing from Workiva customers like Reddit, Playa Resorts, and Newell Brands, the keynote stage was THE place to be!

Michelle Reynolds, Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President of Reddit, Keri Tracy, VP, Internal Audit & SOX of Newell Brands, and Brandon B. Buhler, Chief Accounting Officer of Playa Hotels & Resorts on stage with Penny Ashley-Lawrence, Workiva Chief Customer Officere, Workiva Chief Customer Officer.

Nitin Bhat, Workiva Chief Product Officer, and Steve Soter, Workiva VP and Industry Principal discussing how the jobs of our customers are too important and the stakes are too high to rely on inadequate, inefficient, and risky tools. They need a purpose-built unified platform.

Yasser Mahmud, Workiva CMO, breaking down the pillars of assured integrated reporting: teamwork, transparency, traceability, and trust.

Connecting in the Amplify Hub

All week, attendees explored the Amplify Hub, where they could network with peers and explore technologies, test drive different Workiva solutions and features, check out what's new from our partner network, and talk directly to the people behind the products.

For the second year in a row, attendees could also hang out at the Stage, to check out lightning talks, award ceremonies, and live podcast recordings! Off the Books podcast conversations ranged from the evolving use of gen AI, career advice, and what's top of mind as 2025 nears.

What's new on the Workiva platform

David Haila, Workiva CTO, announcing our latest groundbreaking innovations.

The Workiva product team unveiled several new and upcoming platform features that will simplify work across financial reporting, ESG, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). Just a few of the latest innovations include:

  • Workiva Carbon

    • Centralizes your carbon accounting, carbon management, and decarbonization program. Calculate your carbon footprint, set science-based targets, and simplify climate disclosures, all integrated into the most comprehensive sustainability management platform on the market.
  • Unified Reporting

    • Meet the single cloud environment where data, teammates, and applications are all connected, with a level of control you can't get from desktop software. Discover the power of dynamic table management and designed reporting.
  • Intelligent Productivity

    • When you're dealing with a massive amount of data, tasks, and timelines, it can be easy to lose yourself in just trying to find what you need to even start working! But with an intuitive navigation, personalized home page, built-in gen AI collaborator, and the ability to find what you need, you can move at lightning speed.
  • Unified Data

    • When multiple teams need to prepare multiple reports with the same information, you need Unified Data. Build a searchable library of shareable, auditable data sets, so disparate teams can find what they need and stay in sync when updates occur.

Events in events

Amplify is the place to make new connections and renew those relationships year after year. Throughout Amplify, we held Customer Advisory Board meetings, Pro Groups sessions, and more!

At the inaugural Leadership Forum at Amplify, Workiva Chief Financial Officer Jill Klindt and Chief Accounting Officer Junko Swain led a small group of audit, accounting, finance, and sustainability leaders in exploring how they'd respond to a hypothetical crisis that would have financial, legal, and public relations ramifications.

According to Jill and Junko, good leadership is about not just being ready for what's next but having the vision to capitalize on the opportunities others can't see. On top of that, you have to create an environment where your teams feel comfortable sharing both good and bad news with you.

Slide into goodbye

"Do you think it'd be all right, if we could just crash here tonight?" Hey, Amplify--we ended the week with classic mountain music festival vibes.

Gin Blossoms, Goo Goo Dolls, and a drone show over drinks, dinner, and dessert with Amplify attendees on the lawn were enough to make us think you were the best we'd ever had.

Keep the momentum going

Next year, Amplify heads to the capitol! Amplify 2025 will be held in Washington D.C. September 8-10. Bookmark this page for updates.
