Congratulations to Carlos Graham and Joshua Dunne on being named Fisher Family Good Samaritan Award winners. Graham serves as LU's executive associate to the president and director of government and community relations, while Dunne is LU's cooperative extension commercial kitchen manager. This prestigious award recognizes Mid-Missourians who go above and beyond to help others, continuing the legacy of community spirit and volunteerism established by the Fisher family.

The awards originated from the May 2019 tornado that hit Mid-Missouri, leading concert organizers and the News Tribune to honor "Heroes of the Storm," community members who went above and beyond after the disaster. In 2020, they created the John G. Fisher Good Samaritan Award, named after John Fisher, a former part-owner of the Jefferson City Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken restaurant who passed away in March 2020. The award was later renamed to honor the entire Fisher family for their volunteer efforts in Mid-Missouri.

Lincoln is proud of Graham and Dunne for their outstanding contributions and dedication to our community. To read more about their achievements, please visit the News Tribune story.
