A Student's Tip Leads to Recovery of Gun at Hillsboro High School

A student's tip led to the recovery of a loaded handgun this morning at Hillsboro High School.

Following up on the information provided, school administrators searched a 14-year-old freshman's bag and located the weapon. He is charged in Juvenile Court with carrying a gun on school property.

The student reported that he had taken the gun from a drawer at home.
