Metro Council Appoints New Council Member for District 7

Baton Rouge, LA - The East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council has appointed Patricia A. Derozan to fill the unexpired District 7 seat, previously held by Mayor Pro Tem LaMont Cole.

Patricia A. Derozan was born and raised in the Eden Park neighborhood of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is a life-long resident of District 7. She graduated from Capitol High School, and went on to pursue and attain a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Southern University.

Patricia's career in information technology includes over 25 years of service in state government. Prior to these years, she worked in private industry, serving on technology-related boards and standards committees.
