In fact, the city offers a large mix of dazzling light displays, festive shopping, and fun events to make it the perfect place to enjoy the holidays - all within the neighborhood of your Camden apartment home. Here's a list of places that can help you elevate your holiday spirit!

Marvel at the Houston Zoo Lights

One of the most iconic holiday traditions in Houston is the Houston Zoo Lights, which is located only 10 minutes from our Camden communities in Midtown Houston. Each year for all of December up until January 5th, the zoo transforms into a beautiful array of glowing lights throughout the exhibits and surrounding grounds.

As you enjoy the beautiful display, you can enjoy hot chocolate, visit Santa, and take a ride on the famous carousel. It is a magical experience for all ages and the perfect place to make memories this holiday season!

Go Ice Skating at Discovery Green

Another delightful event just down the street from our Camden communities in Midtown Houston and a few blocks away from Camden Downtown is Houston's only outdoor skating rink at Discovery Green! Skate on ice in Houston while enjoying the beautiful skyline backdrop our city has to offer - open now up until February 2nd. Afterward, warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and seasonal food, live music, and other activities in the park!

Visit City Lights Downtown Holiday Magic

Looking for another beautiful display of lights and fun within the city? City Lights Downtown Holiday Magic is your next stop to continue your Houston holiday adventure! For all of December, Downtown Houston is transformed into the perfect winter wonderland with 11 unique themed villages. Open to the public and free to enter, City Lights Downtown offers a beautiful and festive scenery of lights and activities for all ages.

Time Travel to Holidays in Old Town Spring

For those who live up north or want to travel out of the city, there is a fun holiday-themed town in Spring, TX called Old Town Spring. Old Town Spring is a must-visit, as this historic village is decked out for the season with cozy storefronts, holiday lights, and a welcoming, small-town atmosphere.

Many of the shops offer a unique shopping experience with handcrafted gifts, vintage décor, and seasonal treats up until Christmas Day. Old Town Spring during the holidays is my favorite escape from the business of downtown Houston, offering a peaceful yet lively setting to celebrate the season!
