City milling and overlay work scheduled for O.W. Curry and Bacon Ranch

KILLEEN, Texas (August 6, 2024) - The City of Killeen's Department of Public Works' Transportation division will be performing milling and overlay on Thursday, Aug. 8 - Thursday, Aug. 15, weather permitting.

The roads being worked on are:

• O.W. Curry Drive, from East Central Texas Expressway to Little Nolan Road
• Bacon Ranch Road, from South W.S. Young Drive to OW. Curry Drive

Work includes completing asphalt overlay and milling services, which will result in various lane closures throughout the day. Entire road closures may also occur during this project. Street closures will take place from 7a.m. - 7p.m. daily and roads will only be open to local residents/traffic during this time period.

There will be a series of traffic control devices in place to guide motor vehicles around the work zone and closure. Motorists are encouraged to use caution, obey traffic control devices and consider an alternate route during street maintenance.

It is very important that all vehicles obey the traffic control devices for the safety of the citizens and employees. All schedules are based on weather and may be changed.
