Dribben and Weber on Nursing and Health Care Camp

The Webster-Kirkwood Times ran a feature story about the "Explorations in Nursing and Health Care" summer camp that was hosted by the College of Science and Health in July. Professors Stephanie Dribben and Cami Weber were both quoted.

Shostak on California's Executive Order on Homeless Camps

Visiting Professor of Legal Studies Grant Shostak was interviewed on Live Now With Fox about California Governor Gavin Newsom's executive order directing local officials to start clearing all homeless encampments in the state. The order was made after the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling that said people can be fined for being homeless, reversing a previous Supreme Court decision that said people cannot be fined if there are no shelter or other housing options available in a community.

Belo's Voice of America Interviews

Visiting International Relations Professor Dani Belo was interviewed on Voice of America about China's role in the Russia-Ukraine war, with a specific focus on China's joint military exercises with Belarus on Ukraine's border.

Belo also was interviewed by Voice of America about the imprisonment of Russian military officials for corruption.

Hall Discusses Civil Rights History and JD Vance

Adjunct Professor Bill Hall was interviewed by the Just/Love Catholic Radio Program produced by the Archdiocese of New York City. He discussed the history and significance of the 60th Anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Hall also was interviewed by the Middle East news service Al Sharq about Trump's selection of JD Vance as his running mate.

Johnson Discusses Her New Book

Webster Alumna Lisa Johnson was interviewed on KMOX about her project with the Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum that has resulted in her publishing a book.

Chess.com reported that Chess Coach Liem Le won his third Biel Chess Title in a row.

Ray Chaudhari Discusses Record Enrollment from Telangana


The New India Express ran a story about 300 students from Telangana enrolling at Webster University for the coming academic year. Assistant Vice President Samrat Ray Chaudhari was quoted.

Film Series Touted on KMOX

KDHX ran a short story about the Webster University Film Series and the planned screening of the movie "Last Summer."

Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts Assistant Professor Renee Garcia was featured in the magazine VoyageSTL.

Alumni Featured in Broadway World

Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts alumni Margery Spack and Peter Spack were both mentioned in Broadway World for work they did on the production of "Broadway Bound, Brighton Beach Memoirs."

Several Students Mentioned for "The Tempest" Performance

KSDK mentioned that the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival's production of "The Tempest" will tour the region. It said that several students from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts are performing in the show.

Alumna Named Inspector General by the White House

A press release issued by the White House said Webster Alumna Lisa Re was appointed inspector general of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Rey has a certificate in paralegal studies and an MA in legal studies from Webster.
