Neighborhood meeting for Jackson's Fifth Ward happening Monday, Sept. 30

Residents in Jackson's Fifth Ward have an upcoming opportunity to meet with their City Council representative and learn the latest news from their neighborhood. City Councilmember Shalanda Hunt is holding a neighborhood meeting for the Fifth Ward on Monday, Sept. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at The Hive building.

Councilmember Hunt organized the neighborhood meeting for residents to get information about voting locations from the City Clerk ahead of the Nov. election. The meeting will also feature an update on the TA Wilson Shelter and a question and answer session with the councilmember. Free cider and donuts will be provided.

Ward 5 covers the western half of Downtown Jackson and its surrounding neighborhoods. All residents are welcome to attend. The Hive is located at 729 W. Michigan Ave. The meeting will take place in the building's community room on the lower level in Suite 102. The lower level is accessed from the building's rear parking lot.
