Meeting and political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Turkiye

On October 10, 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Sharifzoda received the Turkish delegation led by the Director General of the Department of Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Gökhan Turan.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding the current state and expansion of relations between Tajikistan and Turkiye. The parties highly commended the contribution of political consultations in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, and also expressed mutual readiness to intensify interaction.

On the same day, another round of political consultations took place in Dushanbe between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Turkiye.

During the political consultations, issues related to the development of political dialogue, expansion of the legal framework, interaction between ministries of foreign affairs, implementation of opportunities for trade and economic cooperation, stimulating tourism and ensuring cooperation within international and regional organizations were discussed.
