Petroperú makes a statement against unions' announcement of strike

In light of the recent announcement by some trade union organizations regarding their intention to initiate a 48-hour strike and a possible indefinite general strike for non-work-related issues, Petroperú S.A. informs the following:

1. The company reaffirms its respect for trade union organizations and the role they play in representing their members. As one of the country's leading companies, it maintains a firm commitment to respect and comply with the social, labor and fundamental rights of its workers, provided that these rights are exercised within the legal framework and are directly related to labor issues inherent to the company.
2. Within the framework of maintaining a harmonious work environment, we call on Petroperú workers to continue working for the company, taking into account the importance of ensuring the supply of fuel in the country and contributing to its economic recovery. Likewise, we urge trade union organizations not to carry out strikes that do not comply with collective labor standards and that would only generate a negative impact on the situation in which the company finds itself.
