Results of the 2024 Annual Wormburner Golf and Giving Event

Digi has hosted the Wormburner golf event and fundraiser every year for over three decades to engage in a day of fun with sponsors, partners, vendors and employees, and raise money for great causes. We are exceptionally proud of the work of the recipient organizations, as well as all of the creative fundraising and donations of our teams.

Additionally, it underscores our commitment to inclusion, diversity, and giving back. In this blog post, we'll share some highlights of the day, as well as the proceeds raised for three phenomenal organizations doing great work in local communities.

A Great Day to Come Together

Our annual fundraising event is held at the Crystal Lake Golf Course in Lakeville, Minnesota. A wonderful team of Digi organizers and volunteers dedicate themselves to ensuring that it's an enjoyable day full of fun and prizes, and that there are ample opportunities to pitch in for the great causes we support.

From prize drawings and contests to buying "mulligans" and entries in an eco-friendly water balloon fight, every aspect of the day is both entertaining and designed to promote giving.

Here are a few of the activities designed to create excitement while increasing the proceeds for our selected charitable organizations:

  • Putting green contest
  • A hole-in-one contest contest to win $30,000
  • "On the green" contest where you take your best drive off the tee and if you land on the green you win a sleeve of Titleist Pro-V1 balls
  • "Closest to the pin" contest with cash prizes
  • Longest drive
  • Longest putt
  • Raffles and more

Some of the winning teams included:

  • First Place Team: "We Like Big Putts"
  • Second Place Team: "Pick N Place"
  • Last Place Team: "Fulfillment Hacks"
  • Best Dressed Team: "Top Par"

Our 2024 Fundraising Results

This year's fundraising proceeds came to a total of $52,500 to be distributed between our three selected local organizations.

This final fundraising tally, which includes the pre-event fundraising and all of the activities across the course on the day of the event, dramatically increased the total donation for the three recipient organizations beyond the amount on the symbolic checks they were presented at the event.

Meet the 2024 Wormburner Fundraiser Recipients

Each year the Digi Wormburner and Inclusion & Diversity Committees select extraordinary organizations focused on driving equity and opportunity for youth and families nationally. Here are our three 2024 recipients.

Sponsor Shout-Out

Every fundraiser requires the help and support of many. It is only with the incredible support of many contributors that we can "pull out the stops" each year with this event.

We extend our heartfelt thank you to our extended Digi team, as well as our external sales and distribution partners and suppliers, who sponsor the event at various levels, and can even sponsor a specific hole on the green with some special visibility and recognition.

These organizations help to make the annual Digi Wormburner event a huge success.

A Heartfelt Thank-You to Our Volunteers

Behind the scenes of any big event, there are amazing people planning, orchestrating, creating graphics and swag, and more. And on the day of the event, all of that advance work pays off, and even more volunteers come together to pull of the event itself. We are so proud of our organizers and volunteers who give their passion, their time and their effort to ensure a successful event, down to the last detail. Thank you to our amazing team!
