Betsy DeVos Campaigns for Mike Rogers Who Voted for Tax Giveaways for Billionaire DeVos and her Wealthy Friends

LANSING - Mike Rogers is holding a campaign event today with Betsy DeVos. DeVos has "maxed out political contributions" to Rogers after he supported tax giveaways that benefit her and her wealthy friends but do nothing for hardworking Michigan families.

Rogers and DeVos both are strong proponents of the DeVos plan to funnel Michigan taxpayer money to private schools, gutting public school funding in Michigan by $500 million. DeVos has led a push to "destroy public schools" in Michigan.

"Mike Rogers has shown that he will do anything to enrich himself, even when it hurts working families. Rogers backed cuts to Social Security so he could give tax cuts to Betsy DeVos and her billionaire friends while Michiganders pay the price," said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Sam Chan.
