Sanford AirMed celebrates 10 years in Dickinson

DICKINSON, N.D. (Sept. 30, 2024)- An open house will be held at the Sanford Dickinson AirMed hangar, located at 11130 42nd St. SW in Dickinson, on Oct. 6 from 4-7 p.m. The family-friendly event is free to the public and will feature tours of the new facility, snacks and activities, and a meet-and-greet with the Dickinson AirMed crew.

The Sanford Dickinson AirMed houses a King Air B200 fixed-wing plane, along with a team of flight paramedics, flight nurses, pilots and mechanics. The aircraft provides medical transport to critically ill or injured patients in North Dakota, South Dakota and eastern Montana.

The AirMed team began serving the surrounding Dickinson community in 2014 and moved into their current hangar on the grounds of the Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport in 2019.

Sanford AirMed currently operates a fleet of helicopters and airplanes from bases in Bismarck, Dickinson, Fargo, Sioux Falls and Bemidji.
