Pedestrian Struck and Killed in the Cully Neighborhood

A pedestrian was struck and killed in a collision with a car on Northeast Lombard Street in the Cully Neighborhood.

On Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:11a.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a crash in the 5800 block of Northeast Lombard Street, near the intersection with Northeast Holman Street. When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian, an adult female, deceased at the scene. The involved driver, in a 2015 Nissan Altima, left the scene but called police from nearby.

The Portland Police Traffic Division's Major Crash Team responded to the scene to investigate the crash. Northeast Lombard Street has been closed for about 5 hours but is expected to reopen shortly.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.

This is the 33rd traffic fatality and the 12th pedestrian-involved fatal crash for 2024 in the City of Portland.
