WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the award of $24,499,236 through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) for projects at several airports across North Dakota. The funding will be distributed to the following locations:
"North Dakota airports are essential infrastructure for our economy," said U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND). "These funds will help our commercial and municipal airports make needed repairs, improvements, and expansions to ensure efficient operations."
The FAA's AIP provides funding to airports nationwide for planning, capital, and safety enhancement projects. Over $38 million in AIP funding has been awarded to North Dakota airports in Fiscal Year 2024.
